Parent Central Services is the gateway that connects Families to CYS Services programs. Registration for all programs begins with Parent Central Services.

Full-Time Care, Pre-K, & Part-Day Preschool

The Full-Time Care Programis for children ages six (6) weeks through kindergarten.

Inclement weather:During a weather-related post closure, if you are weather mission essential and required to work on the day of the weather event, CYS will operate in the following manner:

If Post is in aWeather Mission Essential OnlystatusANDSchool District 8 is CLOSED:

  • West Child Development Center will open for CDC age children with limited staff and serve families who have been deemed weather essential and required to work for that specific weather event.

  • Patriot School Age Care will open for School Age children with limited staff and serve families who have been deemed weather essential and required to work for that specific weather event.

  • All non-critical CYS programs will close (Hourly Care, Part-Day Pre-School, Youth Center Open Recreation, Youth Sports programs, Parent Central Office, and CYS Administrative offices)

If Post in aWeather Mission Essential OnlystatusBUT School District 8 is OPEN:

Delayed Reporting:
No change to CYS programs. Facilities will open at their normal time. Child Development Centers and School Age Centers will operate as normal.

Pre-K & Part-Day Preschool

Strong Beginnings is a part-day Pre-K program operated in addition to the regular full-day program; children who are entering Kindergarten in the next school year are eligible for participation.

Before-and-After School Care

Theseprograms arenationally accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA) and are available for children in first-grade through fifth-grade.

Hours of Care:
Before school beginning at 0545 hours (5:45 AM).
After school until 1800 hours(6:00 PM).
Care provided 0545 hours (5:45 AM) through1800 hours(6:00 PM)during District 8 school breaks.
Children who are not transported by D-8 are walked to school by CYS staff. Parents must transport children not enrolled in on-post District 8 schools.

School-Out Days &Summer:Cost for care provided during District 8 school-out days & breaks is basedupon total family income and included in your before-and-after school enrollment. Separate fees apply for summer care. Cost is basedupon total family income.You must visitParentCentral to determine your fee category.Clickherefor required paperwork.

Children not enrolled in the before and after school program may still participate in school break and summer programming for a fee. See below for more information on Summer Camps.

Hourly Care

The Hourly Care Program is child care for children between 6 weeks-12 years old.Children must have current registration with CYS in order to use hourly care.
Up to 14hours per week/per child.

Family Child Care (FCC) offers a warm, nurturing Family environment for children 6weeksto 12 years of age.

Need a Teen Babysitter?

CYS offers Babysitting Referral Services forregistered families.Babysitters on the referral list are 13 years or older, have certification in First Aid and CPR, and are trained in:
Developmentally appropriate play.
Recognition of child abuse/neglect.
Emergency procedures and interviewing.

Appointments will take approximately 30 minutes per child.

6. At Your Parent Central Appointment

We will process your paper work.
We will input your child's (or children's) vaccine records.
We will issue yourWebTracusername and password. WebTrac is where you enroll in sports,make hourly care reservations and make CYS payments.
We will be able to enrollyou into requested programs and make future reservations during this appointment.

Proof of Immunizations is required for CDC (ages 6 weeks-5 years) children upon registration. Children and Youth ages 6-18 who are enrolled in school are not required to submit proof, however, it is encouraged.

If a child/youth does not have documentation of any given immunizationfor which Army Public Health Nurse (APHN) has deemed an outbreak, the youth will be excluded from care until the outbreak has resolved OR proof of immunization is provided. An exemption for an immunization may be permitted for medical or religious reasons. Philosophical exemptions are not permitted.

CYS follows Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI)6060.02 Child Development Programs Immunizations which states:Children enrolling in or currently enrolled in DoD CDPs must provide written documentation of immunizations appropriate for the child’s age. Per AR 40-562/BUMEDINST 6230.15A/AFJI 48-110/CG COMDTINST M6230.4F (Reference (u)), immunizations recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) are required.

These recommendations are in line with the recommendations by the Center for Disease Control and the State of Colorado.

CYS offers discounted rates for families of deployed soldiers. Service provided for Respite Care Hours as spaces are available. Hourly Care reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. To reserve respite care, please call the Respite Reservation phone line at (719)526-6610.

In order to receive these benefits:
Use an on-post CYS program/FCC Home for full-day or part-day care
Have a copy of the Soldier's orders OR a memo from the Commander confirming the eligibility criteria
