Joining the list of Indian movies inspired by old folklore is Vikram Vedha. The movie left so many unsettled with its groundbreaking storyline and jaw dropping music. Vikram Vedha movie plot revolves around Vikram, a cop that sees everything in black and white and Vedha, his nemesis, thrives in the shades of grey between good and evil. Vikram is on the hunt for Vedha and leads an encounter unit to finish him off. The unit kills some of Vedha’s henchmen and frames another criminal to avoid an inquiry.

Before the unit is getting ready for another encounter, Vedha arrives at the police station and surrenders himself. This leads to a chain of events where Vedha narrates three stories from his past that defines the gangster he has become today in three different acts.

By the end, Vikram realises that his entire department is corrupt and is about to kill him for letting Vedha escape again. But the anti-hero swoops in and saves Vikram and they both work against Vikram’s team. When the fight has died down and the lights are on the two characters left standing, Vikram and Vedha, the final twist takes place.

Vikram Vedha movie plot ends on a soul-crushing cliffhanger where Vikram and Vedha have their guns aimed at one another. Since it is not revealed what happens after that, Vikram Vedha movie forces us to question our standards of morality about what is right and what is wrong.
