And yeah, our household has existed in the company town that is Los Angeles.”
Tom said that the director suggested that Truman play the younger version of his character “because we resemble each other a lot. But the final analysis is the person has to show up on the day and hit the marks, and tell the truth. Only he can make that decision. It was totally up to him.” Tom earlier suggested that Hollywood was a “family business” and that if the Hanks were involved in “a plumbing-supply business or if we ran the florist shop down the street, the whole family would be putting in time at some point, even if it was just inventory at the end of the year,” per PEOPLE.

Tom’s oldest son, with his wife Rita, was born in 1990. Chet,32, has embarked on his own entertainment journey, launching a music career in April 2021 with his debut single (under the name “Chet Hanx”), “White Boy Summer.” He released his second song, “Damn,” in June. Rita gave birth to her younger son in December 1995. Like his older half-brother, Truman,27, also bares a striking resemblance to his dad when he was younger. He studied at Stanford University, according to Page Six. He also has a career in film — appearing on screen in 2023’s A Man Called Ottoand 2020’s News Of The World — but Truman stays behind the camera.
He’s had various jobs in the camera and electrical departments on many major motion pictures, according to his IMDb.
