What does SB mean on MileSplit? ›

PB – personal best (the best mark achieved by an athlete on a personal level) SB – season's best (the best mark achieved by an athlete on a personal level within a given season)

The best way to avoid peaking too early in the season is to set a big base for yourself. Doing a good amount of longer mileage for most of the winter is your best bet. The most common mistake people can make in preparing for a long season is to start in on some intense workouts too early.

The concept of peaking in endurance training goes back many decades. It's essentially the art of timing your next big race to coincide with an ephemeral highpoint in performance capacity that is achieved through careful manipulation of training load and sequencing of training stimuli.

Come up into a position where your hips are higher than your shoulders. Keep a straight line through the hips, spine, and head so that everything remains in a neutral position. Don't lean forward so that you are over the line.

PR – Personal Record; the fastest and individual has run for that given event. PB – Personal Best; really just another term for PR. PR was used for years and only in the past maybe 20 years the “PB” has come around. SB – Season Best; that is the best mark for an athlete in that event just for this season.

Slotback, also called S-back or A-back, is a position in gridiron football. The "slot" is the area between the offensive tackle and the wide receiver. A player who lines up between those two players and behind the line of scrimmage fills that "slot". The Slotback (SB) is used in the Flexbone formation.
