I like Grover. But maybe it's not that people don't like him, maybe it's just that they like other people more, so those others take precedence.

Grover is an underrated character. He is like a Percy Jackson for the Satyrs, but the demigods are unaware of that. And thus we are unaware of it too.

Grover possesses many great powers. Some powers of a God too. Mosf of Pan's life essence was filled into him. He is indeed powerful.

And he is my third favourite character from Uncle Rick's books.

I like Grover, but he lost his popularity along with other characters during HoO, since there are introduced other characters that overshadowed him.

Trust me, Percy's best friend is still grover.

Who hates Grover? I don't know anyone who hates Grover, but if you do find anyone who does send them to me and I will rant some sense into them.

Grover Underwood is, in my opinion, he third best character Rick has written about, bested only by Leo Valdez and Percy Jackson. He is kind and funny, he is a great protector, he has amazing determination and care for the environment, he came up with the dam puns and he put Pan's soul to rest. This is only some of it.

Grover is the sweetest Satyr ever. All he ever wanted to do was help people. He spent his life resenting Thalia's sacrifice even though it wasn't his fault. He is selfless and forgiving. Like, in TLT, pretty much the first thing we see Grover do is him ignoring Nancy Bobofit bullying him, and trying to get Percy to do so too by looking on the bright side so that he doesn't make a fuss and get in trouble with Mrs Dodds. Everyone is always talking about Leo and Percy's sass and humour, when they forget that Grover was sassy and funny too. They talk about Hazel and Frank's sweet innocence but forget that Grover was sweet and innocent too. They talk about how Annabeth and Reyna's strategy and intelligence but forget that Grover was strategic and intelligent too. He was always so enthusiastic about everything and really brought the mood up. When he was taken by Polyphemus, he showed incredible bravery and intelligence by pretending to be a female Cyclopes.

He dedicated his life to saving the environment, yet he never went evil with resent for humans who are the ones destroying it. Even when he was just young, he insisted on freeing all those animals in the truck, when he could have just left them and continued on his quest. When he was only 32 (which is really young in Satyr-years), he was promoted to the council of the cloven elders after encouraging them to help and make a difference. After the Titan war, everyone else just relaxed and celebrated (for a few months before the giant war), but Grover and went and kept up his quest to save the environment, never stopping, never taking a break except to help others with their important quests. He is so hard working, passionate and determined.

He is a great protector. All satyrs are protectors of demigods but not all of them befriend the demigods they're protecting like Grover does, making them feel comfortable and happy as well as safe. He was Percy's only friend in school, not just because he had to be but because he was like the only other person in the school who wasn't a jerk. He did a great job of protecting Percy and Annabeth on all their quests. It was him that got them out of their situation with the spiders in TLT, when Annabeth was rendered useless.

Our greatest inside joke, the dam puns are one of the key defining references of our fandom. We all love them, but we seem to often forget who came up with them. I've seen many credit them to Percy, but really it was Grover who should get the credit for them. Let us recall that part: '"Let us find the dam snack bar," Zoe said. "We should eat while we can." Grover cracked a smile. "The dam snack bar?" Zoe blinked. "Yes. What is funny?" "Nothing," Grover said , trying to keep a straight face. "I could use some dam French fries." Even Thalia smiled at that. "And I need to use the dam restroom."...' As we see, Grover was the one who noticed the pun, not Percy or Thalia. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have our beloved dam puns.

For decades, satyrs had dedicated their lives to finding Pan but none of them succeeded except Grover. He was the satyr who's heart and dedication was strong enough to find him. He was also trusted enough to be able to spread the word that Pan was dead and finally put his soul to rest. He had enough of Pan's spirit in him to then replicate his cry of panic. He was the only satyr who could do that. He was probably the most amazing satyr ever.

Grover is kind and funny, he's a dedicated protector of demigods and nature, he's the creator of he dam puns, and he has the spirit of Pan. If anyone still doesn't like Grover then we have a dam problem. I would like to see hem try to give me reasons for not liking him. I would like to see them try.
