1:200 Republic F-84F Thunderstreak / RF-84F Thunderflash (2024)

Although it retains the F-84 name, this swept-wing variant is very different from the straight-wing Thunderjet from which it was developed.
With the swept wings the gain in performance respect the Thunderjet was little more than sotisfacting however the production started in 1950 but a series of probem delayed the introduction in service untill the 1954.
Retired from USAF active service in 1964 it remained with the ANG till the 1972.
The F-84 has been in service with most NATO countries and also with Taiwan in both fighter-bomber and reconnaissance variants.
The Thunderstreak was armed with 6 M3 cal.12.7 and up to 2.700 kg. of rockets and conventional bombs or a single Mark 7 nuclear bomb.
The Thunderflash mounted 6 cameras of various types in the nose, maintaining combat capabilities thanks to 4 12.7 cal M3 machine guns.

About the empty pylons use: print fuel tanks and bombs and glue them to the model or merge all the stl in your slicer and print your custom configuration or use a 3d editor (as Blender) to create your own variant.
Loads and weapon stations (hardpoints) have tiny protrusion to make easy the positioning of ordnance.

1:200 scale models made to be printed with an FDM with a 0.2 nozzle in this scale.

For other scales use the following values in the slicer:
for 1:100 use 200%
for 1:144 use 139%
for 1:200 leave 100%
for 1:285 use 70%
for 1:300 use 66%

At 1:100 an FDM printer with a 0.4mm nozzle can be used.
Below 1:200 a resin printer is almost mandatory.
